Mishawaka Amphitheater closed due to fires. July 4th show moved to Aggie Theatre in Ft. Collins

Hey everybody, the massive fires in Colorado have displaced a lot of people, a lot of folks have lost their homes and some lives have been lost. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by these fires. To that end we’ll be asking for $5 donations (or more) from everyone coming to the July 3rd show at Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO and the July 4th show at Aggie Theatre in Ft. Collins, CO. These donations will go directly to the Poudre Canyon Fire Protection District, the very volunteer firehouse that protects (and protected) the Mishawaka Amphitheater itself. On multiple occasions since this fire started they have successfully fought back flames on a nearby ridge and saved the Misahwaka. Someday we hope to play on that stage, and thanks to the firefighters in the area we might get a chance to. If you cannot attend the shows you can donate online via a paypal account set up at the Poudre Canyon Fire Protection District website. Or CLICK HERE for a direct link to their paypal. You can also mail donations by check (checks payable to”MPCFPD”) and mail to: PO box 364, Laporte, CO 80535

We will be honoring all tickets purchased for the Mishawaka at the Aggie – the day of the show is the same, July 4th. Thank you for your support.

Summer Tour – Western Wildfires – Ridin’ the Lightning with Metallica – Last minute show in Albuquerque

Summer Tour begins tonight in Carrboro, NC and it winds its way across this fine country not once, but twice! We’re playing a festival curated by Metallica (what?!), we play a co-headliner with Reverend Horton Heat in KC, we’ll be celebrating the birth of the nation along the way with our good buddies Drag the River in Colorado… There is a large wildfire raging across Northern Colorado right now, as of now the July 4th show is still on! But tune into this page or Lucero’s facebook for any changes. Cross your fingers that the fire is put out soon. Our thoughts are with all those suffering as a result…

After Colorado we arrive in Southern California where we play the legendary Hootenanny Festival (alongside Rancid, The Rev Heat, Bouncing Souls, The Supersuckers, Old Man Markley, etc) But that’s not all. We decided to stay in the area for a couple more shows. If you didn’t notice we added a show in Pioneertown, CA & Santa Barbara after Hootenanny… Then Las Vegas (bang!) and then just yesterday we decided to stop by Albuquerque for a show. Due to the last minute nature of this show it’s going to be at a really small room. Only 125 lucky Lucer fans are gonna see this one, so get your tickets as soon as they’re available (we’ll post something soon) – or else you probably won’t get in. How could we skip Albuquerque? We couldn’t! Who loves ya?
