Jan 9th Show – Little Rock, AR

Happy New Years everybody. Haven’t posted a news item myself in a little while and so I figured I’d type a short end of the year piece. Main reason I’m posting something is to let you know we’re playing a benefit show for our friend Luke Hunsicker. Luke, as many of you know, is the bassist for one of our favorite bands the American Princes. He just underwent brain surgery to remove a benign tumor. The surgery went as well as it could and hopefully Luke will be back to 100% real soon. Of course he is a musician and has no health insurance. So if you can come out to the Rev Room in Little Rock on January 9th, all the money we raise is going to help with his bills. If you want to make a donation directly you can do so online at the American Princes website: www.americanprinces.com. We booked this show last minute due to the circumstances, so tell everyone you know and come out if you can.

SO. JANUARY 9TH 8PM AT THE REV ROOM in LITTLE ROCK, LUCERO with BIG BOOTS and WHALE FIRE

Now. We’ve had a very busy year and I’ve got a lot of people to thank for helping us make it through. No a lot of time for that right now cause I gotta get downtown to soundcheck for the show with the Allstars tonight… but thank you everyone that helped with all the tours this year, the Last Pale Light in the West album, the demo process for the new Lucero record, the Universal deal, the Revival shows, the Five Dollar Cover filming and the release of Shotgun Stories. I think with all the work in 2008 behind us we’re in a great spot to make 2009 an exciting year for the band. So thanks again to everyone involved and thanks to you for checking in to the website every now and then. See you soon.
