I'll tell ya, John C never has much to say, although this past time in Atlanta he was on the mic alot more than usual, but he will step up and tell a motherfucker to step back if he sees something. I think it was Macon... Brit can confirm he down right said all you boys need to step back and let these ladies through and stop pushing them around.

Heres the video I took of " MOM " which I still have to skip over cause it makes me cry every fucking time, it's replaced the chills of " The War" and "the blue and the grey"

We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back

Hearing the old songs with horns is what makes this tour so good.  Sure it is different, but I like the whole experience of a new Lucero show.

The D.C. show was good.  The philly show was one of the rowdiest shows I've been to outside of Arkansas or Memphis.  Most of the time the shows outside of Little Rock/Memphis just aren't the same, but the Philly show was great.  I was visiting friends when I went to the D.C. and Philly shows and I have to say they represented Lucero fans well.

Can't wait until The Village show though.  They always play Nobody's Darlings there and it is my favorite song to end the night on.  I am hoping they work in a White Water show too at the end of the tour.  I am sure they will, but it may just be Ben.

at the sf show someone kept asking for nobodys darlings, and they finally played it as the last song. and some huge black guy who looked like chi mc bride was carrying a tattooed shirtless 40 year old over his head on to the stage. and then the guy took off his pants and ben was running around the stage laughing trying to cover him up and that was the end of the show... it was great

That, my friend, sounds like the best show of the whole damn tour.

The Athens show was pretty good.  It was shorter than the Atlanta show from last month but the band sounded great.  They didn't start until a little after midnight which I think lead to some people leaving early.  It was great to see them again with horns and I really like the addition of the horns to the old songs too.  It's awesome to hear how full the sound is with the horns, hopefully this won't be the last tour with horns. The band was also drinking a lot more during this show than during the Atlanta show.
