I'm going to see William Elliott Whitmore in Seattle tomorrow. Valentine's Day sucks. My boyfriend and I are fighting. A good show will do me a world of good.

Then Murder by Death in SF next weekend. Then two weeks til Lucero in Pensacola and Tallahassee. Woot.

Jason Isbell tomorrow and I just found out there's a benefit for a recently murdered bartender featuring an awesome band I thought was broken up: No River City.  Hopefully I can make it out for that. 

Lucinda Williams is next week as the start of my March concert madness... Lucinda, Austin Lucas/Josh Small, Kathleen Edwards, Lucero, Langhorne Slim, Neko Case, and Ninja Gun, if I can figure out how to get tickets!

I saw Murder City Devils in Los Angeles last night...it was a good time...got to push, shove, and do a little dancing...they were solid...

So, someone fucked up and made Cory Branan the host of the public showcase for the Folk Alliance conference at Otherlands this Saturday.  ;D

It should be a lot of fun seeing as a lot of singer/songwriters will be in the crowd and performing. I'm really, really excited.

It was pretty great...it was the third time I've seen them over something like a 10-year time span...they didn't play "Cradle to the Grave", but they played everything else I wanted to hear...they were a little sloppy, but good nonetheless...I kept thinking it would probably be the last time I see them live...not sure what they have in store...I assume you live away from the west coast, because this entire "tour"went north to south along the left coast...hope you get to see 'em again some time, I'm glad I did...

I'm in Denver so it was just to far to go at the time.  I saw them a bunch of times from 99-02 or was it 03.
Great live band and they were a little sloppy back in the day too.  That was part of their drunken charm.

It looks like their still playing the occasional show so I may get to see them again someday.

Did you see that their super limited LP box set that they were selling on this tour is going for $800+ on Ebay.
That is nuts.
